I went to Jurong Bird Park on a Sunday. That day was hot and sunny, we entered around 2 ish. The admission fee per adult is 20 dollars, and if you are not out to walk in the park, you can just pay 5 dollars for a guided tram ride. I felt that the tram is for old folks and kids, so we decided we just get some exercise and have a walk around the park.
The moment we went in, we headed straight for the "high flyers show" , we chose a really good and centralised seat in the spectator area and had a really upclose experience with the birds, from talking parrots, to hornbills, macaw, flamingos...etc.
After the show, it was an own time own target walk around the park, saw alot of species of birds, cannot remember alot of them. I liked whole atmosphere in penguin coast though, the penguins looked so cute, standing and stoning. The snowy owl looked like some kind of star with that wise expression. It was supposed to be one of the popular owls in the world of darkness.
We went to catch the last part of the king of the skies show, where you watched big fierce eagles soaring high in the sky.
Last but not least, we went to the waterfall aviary and headed to the macaw island. I always think macaw and parrots seemed to look alike. Anyway over there, it seemed to be infested with harmless mosquitoes. I was bitten big time there so did not really spend much time there. So do get yourself protected with insect repellent if you are making a trip there. Or else you would end up like me, scratching as i walked. Argh! There was alot of outdoor walking, not much sheltered areas to keep from the sun. Sun block and caps are a must. Overall, you can spend about 2 hours plus walking around the park. By the way, the park closes at 6, so make sure you give yourself comfortable and ample time to walk around the park.

After the whole excursion, we headed to this Hill Top Japanese restaurant, which is on Jurong Hill near the park. It is famous for teppanyaki. Do try the garlic rice and the teriyaki chicken, i like it personally. :)
