Taiwan Working Holiday Day 16-17 - Last night at this minsu

Tonight is a very cold night compared to two days ago, the wind today is so strong i thought i might be blown away if not for my weight. :P

I felt relieved that finally my working holiday is being brought forward and coming to an end. These two days, i am so happy, even when there are like 4 rooms to clean yesterday, i felt more 平衡 abit. At least, i do not feel that i am treated like free labour, at least, bosses still asked and help. I can see their change and i felt more willing to do my tasks.

Not only that, i realised, lunch is always fulfilling. And at night, i stayed with them for dinner, our big chef, Xiao Luo used the left over of that 10kg yellow tail fish and whipped up these dishes. From Sashimi to, black pepper fish, to fish cooked in gravy and fish soup.

Today, my hectic day starts at 1030 and ends before 2. I even managed to meet Mskmouse earlier for a chill out time at this cafe called Peter Rooster cafe. This should be the way, isn't it?

We went for a 扁食dinner, i realised that means wanton, dumplings...
By the way, the 云吞at 戴记 is like 8-10 pieces in the soup. If you all are small eaters, you can asked to share. The 饺子 and 锅贴 at 八方云集 is quite nice, and you can order it by pieces, each costing like 5NT. We tried 3 different flavors but the signature one is still the best. After that we went for our dessert, this 桂花综合圆 is very nice, cheap and filling too.

After that, i went to buy these for my bosses and their kids, the colouring book for 晴晴 and the mittens for娜娜. The two girls are cute kids whom i will miss, not their cries though...I bought this 蜂之乡cakes for the adults as i thought the cakes are delicious too. Lastly, i wrote these postcards for Xiao luo and Fish, tried to draw the stamps myself, if you notice my landmarks of Singapore at the stamps corner :P

And really lastly, tonight is the last night i gonna stay in my cozy little corner, hereby i gonna show you how my room is like. I have to climb these narrow stairs to our room, will first past by Fish's side before i turn left and as i have said in my previous posts, i need to either bend in or sit first and turn in. At the foot of the bed is where they keep their supplies for the home. It is a very subjective thing, i feel that i am glad to say bye to this cozy corner, and i will make sure, my next few stays must have a proper bed stand!

Different people have different views of working holidays, perhaps to students who are financially tight and have just graduated may be able to take this experience. But to me, i have worked for a number of years, i resigned because i want to take a break, i want to enjoy the slower pace of life in Hua Lian. If i need to work like 4-6 hours continuously with minimal break, it is not what i want. The bosses are still overall nice people, but i guess i came at the wrong time when they have another child to attend to. And it is definitely not easy to manage a minsu, there is alot of hard work.

Nevertheless...好聚好散, no dislikes and no feuds, I just wanna wish them all the best from the bottom of my heart.

All the best!!!
