Korea Seoul Part 2

This is a very late post, writing this while I am in New York. This would be a very brief photo blog for the last part of Seoul journey. On this day, we made a trip to Suwon to visit the Hwaseong fortress that is one of the Unesco attractions. The whole place is built around the fortress and you will see alot of locals.

Bringing to you the hwaseong palace. We watched a performance of swords and martial arts at around 3pm before entering the palace.

Da chang jin is filmed here.

The next day,we went to noryanjin for live sashimi. I finally got courage to try this octopus Tentacles that are still moving! It Is quite a touristy place now costing 10000 krw for just preparing the sashimi and another 3000 for just boiling them. After that, we went to the Seorae village. It is at the Express bus terminal and we were lucky to catch them during dismissal time and all the kids started getting out to meet their parents at the gate. We went for some shopping at express bus terminal. The place is called Gangnam underground shopping centre and the shops offer really cheaper clothes and you must be prepared to spend a few hours of shopping there! The quality Is so so but for about 10000krw for dresses, what can you expect?

The next day we went to the hyehwa station to go to the mural village. The place is called Iwha art village. Over here, it seemed that art is very encouraged here. We saw alot of creative drawings on walls and buildings.

After that, we went to a local wet market called Namseong Market. It is at Isu station exit 14. Very localised and I am quite amazed the market can be so happening at 5pm in the evening. Look at the picture of the pots, can you find the auntie?

The next day, we went back to Hongdae for the flea market from 1-4pm. During this time, the students would be setting up stalls selling their handmade products.

We made a trip to Konkuk university for some last minute shopping and

감자탕.
The next day before mskmouse leave, we decided to go for some drama...idea from

On my last day, i decided to run around cheonggyechon stream near the place where i am staying. I am staying in between city hall and myeongdong area. Nice cooling weather for a run! I went for a korean haircut after that at ewha university area. That place is much more comparable in prices with sg as compared to myeongdong.

Very brief post before i talk more about New York. Stay tuned!
