Melaka explorer

As my twin is joining the Melaka century ride with the PK riders, i decided to tag along to tour Melaka instead. Thanks to Pk for organising, I went with them on a 3 days 2 night trip. It was about 7 ish in the morning when we board this chartered bus, loading up the bikes and then ourselves.  And it was 2 ish when we reached.

What can you do in Melaka?
First, try their chicken rice balls.
I tried this chicken rice ball in Toa Payoh before and I do not like it, think it's too big and sticky. In Melaka, the chicken rice balls are smaller, and i won't get tired of the taste too fast. And also the taste of the chicken rice is good. The boss recommended we have a set that comes with black bean soup and sambal fish. It was actually quite filling.

Next, you may want to try the massage there. The prices are pretty good, imagine at ringgit 60 for an hour of massage, we can't find that kind of price when converted to sg for sure. And the one I had was good, I shouted ouch a few times in fact.

In addition, we were told to try the food there, one that was recommended was this auntie fatso shop, really nice prawn cheese beehoon.

Second day, when the cyclists went for the ride, the ladies went for tour, we walked around the tourist areas, checking out shops, looking for local tao sar pias and eating cendol, saw this touristy place and decided to try the durian cendol. As usual...ok only la....nice packaging though and the aircon is just fantastic as the weather is scorching hot.

The touristy things done

By 1pm, it was so hot, we decided to stay in the malls and it became a shopping session instead.

Actually I could not find much to buy there but clothing is still considered cheap and there are some interesting designs in the h&m there. I bought this jelly bunny flats and I was told it was sold for 24 plus in SG, so it was still a good deal there as I got them for less than 20.

The food from Aunty Fatso and Tong Sheng...cannot recall which one is Tong Sheng's and which one is Aunty Fatso's

At night, we went to another recommeded eatery called Tong Sheng.
And tried the cheese beehoon again. This one is more watery and taste much better. No wonder it was always crowded.

The next morning, I decided to check out the hotel pool, not too bad, supposed to be infinity pool but the gap is too big so got block by the plants there. We checked out of the hotel, loaded the bikes up the coach and started on our way back. Along the way, we stopped for Peranakan food and some honey factory.
